There are lots of places to go and things to see that are fun (and safe) for parents and children to enjoy together.

The Islands’ reefs and wrecks are major draws for tourists of all ages.

Divetech offers courses teaching basic scuba and snorkel skills to children five and older, as well as scuba certification courses for children 10 years and older.

Glassbottom boat and submarine tours from Atlantis Submarines also offer a way for families, even with young children, to get an up-close view of Cayman’s marine life.

Families looking for a little less structure can always go for a stroll along any of the Islands’ beaches, ranging from secluded pristine stretches to the internationally renowned Seven Mile Beach.

If the kids get bored of sugar-white sand and infinite turquoise seascapes, it might be time to hit the road to check out the inland attractions of Grand Cayman..

Camana Bay is a good place for families to walk around, have a bite to eat, let the children play in a fountain, or go to Grand Cayman’s movie theatre.

At The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment programme introduces children aged four and older to the nature and culture in Cayman. Eco-tour participants do not have to be guests staying at the Ritz.

In the District of North Side, the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park features local flora, butterflies and rare local Blue Iguanas.

In West Bay, Cayman Turtle Farm has different species of turtles, an aquarium, aviary, nature trail and swimming area.

At Grand Harbour, the Black Pearl Skate & Surf Park offers excitement for older kids, while other members of the family can enjoy the bar, restaurant or playground.
